Lisa Chapman - IHOP Kansas City

Ministry Description: Lisa is a full-time intercessory missionary at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri (IHOP-KC).  She grew up in Marietta, GA and gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 16.  Soon thereafter, she began attending RiverStone Church, where she was first introduced to IHOP.  Over the next several years, she felt the Lord calling her to lay down her life in the place of fasting and prayer, just as Anna in the Bible.  Luke 2 states that Anna, "did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day."  Feeling the call of the Lord, she moved to Kansas City and joined the staff at the House of Prayer.  Her vision is to contend for historic revival in this nation and the nations of the earth, unto the fulfillment of the Great Commission.  She desires for souls to be brought into the Kingdom and for the Gospel of Jesus to go forth.  The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much, and through prayer Lisa is believing to see righteousness prevail in this generation.

Lisa serves IHOP as an intercessor and singer. In addition to her commitments to the prayer room, she is a leader in the One Thing Internship (OTI).  OTI is a six-month program for single young adults 18-25 years of age.  Lisa desires to raise up young women who love the Lord with all their hearts, are committed to righteousness, persevere in prayer and go deep in the Word of God. She serves as a House Leader, living with the interns and personally mentoring young women.  She leads Bible studies, small groups and serves in various other administrative capacities.  In January 2010 she joined IHOP's Bible College - Forerunner School of Ministry - as a full-time Bible Student.
