Michael and Claire Mozley - Ghana, AfricaChildren: Anna, Maggie and Luke Ministry Description: The Mozley family has served the Lord in Ghana since 1999. Their mission is to see indigenous leaders raised up who have a heart for the unreached. Their passion is to encourage these leaders to carry out the Great Commission throughout Africa and beyond. Michael serves as the Mission Society's Regional Coordinator for Africa, working with Mission Society missionaries in Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo and Zambia. Michael was born and raised in Marietta, GA. He attended Asbury College, earning a B.A. English Literature before pursuing a M.Div. with an emphasis in Missions and Evangelism from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is also currently pursuing a Ph.D in African Studies at Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology, Mission and Culture in Ghana, West Africa. Michael is an ordained elder in the North Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served as Missions Coordinator immediately following seminary. He also served in two local churches as associate minister and youth pastor from 1990-1996. Michael worked as the director of personnel for The Mission Society from 1996-1999. He has been involved in international missions since 1983 and has ministered in over 30 countries. Michael joined The Mission Society's Board as a Missionary Observer/Participant in 2008. Claire works with Bible Club ministries and trains children's ministry workers. She is also the Missionary Care representative for the Mission Society's Ghana field.
