Donnie and Valerie Hoover - Atlanta, GAChildren: Brittni (12 years), Brianna (10 years), and Brock (7 years) Ministry Description: Donnie and Valerie are missionaries with The Navigators, an interdenominational, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people to know Christ and to make Him known. The Hoovers serve as the Ministry Directors for The Navigator's Collegiate Ministry at Georgia Institute of Technology. The mission of the GTNavs is to lead people into a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The vision of the GTNavs is for students to graduate with an ever-growing passion for God, a passion for His Word, a passion for prayer and a passion for people/the Nations. As field staff with The Navigators, the Hoover's raise their own financial support through the generous financial investment of friends, family and churches. In addition to their duties at Georgia Tech, the Hoovers serve as the Executive Directors for Community Transformation Ministries, a ministry to college students and young singles. CTM operates two group homes (one for men, one for women) adjacent to the Kennesaw State University campus. The mission of CTM is to provide care and education for young adults for the development of their mind, body and spirit in order that they may reach their maximum potential and become a catalyst for community transformation. The vision of CTM is to transform the world for the glory of God one life, one home, one community at a time.
