Alexander Jules Tompkins - IHOP Kansas City

Ministry Description: Jules Tompkins is a young missionary currently based at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.  At IHOP, Jules is on Operations Staff with 50 or more hours of ministry responsibility every week.  He is presently working as a writer for Forerunner Publishing, IHOP's independent publishing house.  In addition, Jules has been serving as a leader for IHOP's youth since the fall of 2008.  IHOP staff members are also required a minimum of 12 hours in the prayer room every week.

Originally from Gwinnett County, in high school Jules' youth minister was RiverStone's very own Cory Hallett.  Immediately after graduating high school, Jules moved to IHOP and participated in one of the ministry's training programs.  After a year in Kansas City, Jules moved to southern Africa with a friend where he travled through some of the most rural areas of Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe as a preacher and teacher.  He returned to Kansas City in the summer of 2008.

Jules is committed to the current global prayer movement, dedicated to seeing Jesus' command to "watch and pray" kept in his generation.  He seeks to accomplish this through anointed writing, mass publishing, hands-on youth ministry and, most of all, prayer.
